The body, described as being a woman in her 40s or 50s, was found by a jogger around 5:23 a.m, Friday, June 21 on the beach between Monroe and Lincoln boulevards, said Sgt. Brett Curtis, spokesman for the Long Beach Police Department.

The female, who was found wearing undergarments, was pronounced dead at the scene by the Long Beach Fire Department.

Curtis said the department does not believe the woman found is in any way related a missing Fairfield County woman, Jennifer Farber Dulos of New Canaan, who has been missing for five weeks today.

"The body would have had much more trauma," Curtis said.

The incident is currently being investigated by the Long Beach Detective Division.
